These terms apply to your use of the Easy Permits website and our building permit services. By using the website or submitting an application, you agree to these terms.

Our services

Easy Permits helps homeowners, builders and retailers obtain building permits for verandahs, carports, sheds, pergolas and similar structures. We coordinate plans and lodgement with the relevant building surveyor or authority on your behalf. Engineering is supplied by you or your builder; if it cannot be, we can quote for it through our panel of engineers. Additional approvals are quoted separately and only proceed once you agree in writing. Site inspections are carried out by the appointed building surveyor or certifier, not by Easy Permits.

Checks, tools and general information on this website are an early indication only and are not professional advice. Whether a permit is required, and whether it is approved, is decided by the relevant building surveyor or authority. We cannot guarantee that any application will be approved.

Your responsibilities

• Give us information that is accurate and complete, and tell us promptly if anything changes.
• Make sure you have the right to authorise work on the site, or have the owner's consent.
• Do not start building until your permit has been issued.

Fees

We will confirm our fee with you before starting work. Unless we agree otherwise in writing, our fee is charged when your building permit is ready to issue. Engineering, additional approvals, and council, authority and third-party charges may be payable in addition to our fee.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for delays or decisions made by councils, surveyors or other authorities.
